Educational emancipation remains a distant reality for the one who is living hand to mouth. The colonial practice is such that education is reduced to the privilege of the elite and the so called ‘middle class’.
A large section of population, the ‘labor class’ is systematically alienated from these privileges for the capital machinery to function well. Result? The divide between the rich and poor is increasing geometrically keeping them in dark pre-literate ages.
In praxis, ‘right to education’, or lack thereof, is reduced to state sponsored ‘free’ education which is endemic to politicization of text books, neither is corporatization of educational institutions a solution.
Religious extremism, elite capitalist and pseudo-democratic authoritarian regimes feed on this mass populace of the uneducated who in-turn are at the mercy of phony political promises.
