LGBTQ Rights and Conversion Therapy

TODAY is a big day for the queer community. After I wrote a letter to IACP, Mariwala Health Initiative came out with an online petition, following which IACP and various associations have come out statements against ‘conversion therapy’. Change happens at personal level in our individual and collective psyche, we do not have to wait for official positions of associations and organisations to show love, affection and acceptance to each and everyone.

IACP responded to the letter by coming out with an official statement against conversion therapy.

The Association for Psychiatric Social Work Professionals also came out with a similar statement of position against conversion therapy.

Also a statement from Center for Mental Health Law and Policy.
